Television actor and former Bigg Boss 7 contestant Ajaz Khan, who has courted several controversies over the years, gets a fresh one to his name, courtesy of the OTT show House Arrest. Ajaz, who is the host, is facing flak for making female contestants enact s*x positions in the name of entertainment. Maharashtra BJP Mahila Morcha president Chitra Wagh has demanded a ban on the reality series, calling it "nothing but the epitome of vulgarity." An advocate has also filed a complaint against him and the makers with the Delhi Police for the same.

Chitra Wagh seeks a ban on House Arrest

Chitra Wagh took to X and shared a snippet from House Arrest in which Ajaz engages contestants in inappropriate conversations and encourages them to act out suggestive scenes. She wrote, “ Stop giving a free pass to obscenity in the name of freedom of expression! Ban Ajaz Khan's show 'House Arrest'.”

She continued, "The show 'House Arrest' by Ajaz Khan, who calls himself an actor, is nothing but the epitome of vulgarity. This show, streamed on an app called Ullu, has clips that are now being freely circulated on social media—and they are extremely disgusting. Such content is easily accessible on children's mobile phones.”

Chitra Wagh says such shows degrade cultural values and harm the psychological well-being of future generations. “These kinds of shows are not just an insult to our culture, but also an assault on the moral health of our society. They are a perverse attack on the minds of future generations.”

She also requested the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw, to ban such applications.

Complaint filed with the Delhi Police

An advocate named Vineet Jindal wrote on X, “A complaint has been filed with @MIB_India and Delhi Police against the Ullu app web series House Arrest, featuring Ajaz Khan and other individuals. The content of the program has been found to be highly objectionable, offensive, and in blatant violation of Indian cultural and legal standards. The complaint demands strict action against the makers, actors, and all involved parties. Such irresponsible and vulgar content cannot be allowed to circulate unchecked, and a strong precedent must be set to deter similar violations in the future.”

Ajaz is known for his work in films such as Rakta Charitra and Allah Ke Banday and has acted in several television shows, including Rahe Tera Aashirwaad and Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki. He participated in the Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 7 in 2013.
