Hina Khan on India-Pakistan tension

Hina, who hails from Kashmir, reacted to growing tensions between the two countries and the back and forth attacks following Pahalgam terror attack. Hina Khan took to her Instagram and dropped her first story where she simply sent prayers for everyone in danger and wrote, "Prayer and only prayers." In her next story, Hina supported India's decision to give Pakistan a strong response, but also prayed for de-escalation of the situation. In her story, she wrote, "No one wins in a war. No one. Innocents die on both sides. Praying for the frontliners."

Further, while blaming Pakistan for starting the battle India never called for, she wrote, "We didn't want war before Pahalgam, we don't want it now... Butttt our people were killed, our response was important, precise and non-escalatory. We don't promote violence... And I know all of us eventually prefer peace." She concluded her note by supporting India but urging for de-escalation and said, "As much as I stand with my country to eradicate terrorism... I also wish and pray for de-escalation 🙏 Jai Hind."
