28 April,2025 02:26 PM ISTA major fire broke out at the Croma showroom in Bandra West’s Link Square Mall early Tuesday morning, April 29, just a day after a similar incident at the Enforcement Directorate office in South Mumbai. The blaze, first reported at 4:11 am, was escalated to a Level-III emergency by 4:49 am. While no casualties were reported, the fire caused widespread panic as thick smoke engulfed the multi-storey building, severely affecting visibility. The Mumbai Fire Brigade deployed a massive response, including 12 fire engines, nine jumbo tankers, rescue units, and an emergency ambulance. The fire was mainly contained to the basement, but smoke spread quickly throughout the structure. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
29 April,2025 11:06 AM ISTIn a relief for residents living near the Elphinstone Road Over Bridge, the Maharashtra government has announced the redevelopment of 19 buildings in the area. The decision was made on April 28 following a crucial meeting between MMRDA officials and residents. As part of the plan, all affected residents will be given new homes at the same location. However, residents of two buildings will be temporarily shifted to transit camps in Kurla during the redevelopment process. The 125-year-old Elphinstone Road Over Bridge is set to be demolished to make way for the Sewri-Worli connector project. The bridge was initially scheduled to be closed at midnight on April 26, but the plan was delayed following strong protests by residents, including those from two buildings that were marked for demolition. 28 April,2025 09:40 PM ISTA major fire broke out early this morning at the Enforcement Directorate office in Ballard Estate, South Mumbai. The incident happened around 2:30 am. According to civic officials, fire engines rushed to the spot as soon as the alert was received. The fire was first marked as Level-II at 3:30 am and later upgraded to Level-III by 4:17 am, indicating a serious emergency. Thankfully, there are no reports of any injuries. Officials said the fire was mainly limited to the fourth floor of the five-storey building. Firefighters worked quickly to control the flames and stop the fire from spreading further. The Mumbai Fire Department sent a large team for the operation. This included eight fire engines, six jumbo tankers, an aerial water tower, a breathing apparatus van, a rescue van, a quick response vehicle, and a 108 ambulance. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

The manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Disha Salian was found dead on June 8th 2020. It was alleged that she died by suicide, however, Disha’s father Satish Salian recently stated that she was gang-raped and murdered. Satish Salian on 19th March moved the Bombay High Court seeking a fresh investigation into the death of his daughter, also a FIR and CBI probe against Aaditya Thackeray. Nitish Rane said that eventually, the "truth will come out in court.”
