Cannes 2025: Uorfi Javed misses debut, pens emotional note on facing rejections

Uorfi Javed took to her social media to announce that she was all set to attend Cannes 2025 but couldn't do so as her visa got rejected. Social media sensation Uorfi Javed is someone who never disappoints with her stunning outfits, and last year during Cannes, social media was screaming that they wanted to see Uorfi on the red carpet of the film festival. This year, that wish was about to get fulfilled - but fate had other plans.

Uorfi Javed misses Cannes 2025 debut

Taking to her social media, Uorfi Javed in a long post shared how she missed attending Cannes because of the visa rejection. The social media star wrote, "I haven't been uploading anything or been seen anywhere cause I was going through a phase. My business didn't work. I tried a bunch of other different things only to face rejections. Got an opportunity to go to Cannes through Inde Wild (big big thank you to Diipa Khosla and Kshitij Kankaria), but as fate would have it, my visa got rejected. Was working on a few crazy outfit ideas. My team and I were very disheartened."

"I'm sure a lot of you guys must be going through rejections yourself, and I would love to know your stories. Let's support and uplift each other. Rejections aren't the end of the world, they should only motivate you to work harder. Please share your rejection stories using #rejected and tag me. Will share it on my stories to motivate others. After rejections, feeling dejected and crying over it is normal - in fact, healthy - even I do cry. But what happens after? Every rejection is an opportunity if you look carefully. After so many rejections in life, I ain't stopping and so shouldn't you," she further wrote.

Uorfi attached her post with a caption that reads, "Rejections don't define you. It's what you make out of that situation. Thank you @indewild and @diipakhosla. Everything happens for a reason. Also, thank you @kshitijkankaria for helping me so much during this!"
