Operation Sindoor: World must show zero tolerance for terrorism: S Jaishankar

In a strong retaliatory strike, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting multiple terrorist infrastructures across the Line of Control. The action comes just days after the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 innocent civilians. The government had vowed to hold the attackers accountable—and now says that promise has been fulfilled. In a post on social media platform X, the Indian Army confirmed the success of the mission, stating, “Justice is served – Jai Hind.” External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar also praised the operation, calling for zero tolerance towards terrorism in his latest post on X. Operation Sindoor was a coordinated effort by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, involving the rapid mobilisation of troops and assets. Sources say Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally monitored the operation through the night.

In an exclusive interaction on Sit With Hitlist with Mayank Shekhar, Katrina Kaif recalled shooting Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti (2010). She said, “There was this sequence in Bhopal, where my character’s husband dies, and I take centre stage. I look before me. There are 2,000-3,000 people, for as long as your eyes can see. I’m supposed to give a speech in front of them, like a politician, and with the film’s entire cast [on the podium]. My hands were trembling.
