Rajat Patidar (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)
Matches: 11 | Runs: 239 | Average: 23.90 | Strike Rate: 140.59
RCB skipper Rajat Patidar hasn't had the season he would have hoped for with the bat. Although he produced noteworthy fifties against CSK and MI, he has struggled to convert starts into substantial innings. Inconsistency has plagued him, and a recent finger injury sustained against CSK further clouds his T20 World Cup prospects. India needs aggressive top-order batters, and Patidar's form hasn’t met that standard
Rishabh Pant (Lucknow Super Giants)
Matches: 11 | Runs: 128 | Average: 12.80 | Strike Rate: 99.22
Pant's return to IPL action has been underwhelming, especially considering his Rs 27 crore price tag. He has looked tentative and far from the fearless batter he’s known to be. With stiff competition from KL Rahul, Sanju Samson, and Ishan Kishan, Pant's lackluster form has left him trailing in the selection race for the T20 World Cup
Shivam Dube (Chennai Super Kings)
Matches: 12 | Runs: 301 | Average: 33.44 | Strike Rate: 130.86
Shivam Dube’s campaign has been a mixed bag. While he has played a few valuable innings, his overall form has not been convincing. With a significantly reduced strike rate against spin—107.8 this season compared to 176.47 in 2023—his impact has waned. At 31, and with stiff competition from younger talent, his chances appear increasingly slim.
Rinku Singh (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Matches: 12 | Runs: 197 | Average: 32.83 | Strike Rate: 153.90
Despite his reputation as a dependable finisher, Rinku Singh hasn’t been able to consistently assert himself in IPL 2025. He’s lacked the spark and confidence that made headlines in IPL 2023. A recent injury against RR only diminishes his already slim chances of breaking into India’s T20 World Cup squad.
Ravi Bishnoi (Lucknow Super Giants)
Matches: 10 | Wickets: 9 | Average: 41.67 | Economy: 10.42
Bishnoi’s performance this season has been mediocre at best. Not only has he taken fewer wickets, but he’s also leaked runs at an alarming rate, including a forgettable 2/53 outing against DC. His teammate, Digvesh Rathi, has outshone him with better figures and economy, further jeopardizing Bishnoi’s hopes of securing a place in the national setup
