The Pakistani Army violated the ceasefire for the 14th consecutive day, resorting to unprovoked firing and heavy shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) in several areas, including Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, and Akhnoor. The shelling, which included artillery and mortar fire, resulted in the death of at least 13 people, including four children and one Indian soldier. The attack came in the wake of India’s Operation Sindoor, with the Indian Army responding proportionately to the aggression. Several houses were severely damaged in the intense shelling, leaving local communities in a state of panic. Residents of border villages under the Kashmir division were forced to flee their homes and move to safer locations as Pakistani forces began targeting civilian areas. Locals have expressed deep distress over the continuous shelling and the targeting of innocent civilians, calling for immediate steps to ensure their safety and restore peace in the region.
