The Central Railway on Wednesday announced summer 2025 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Sultanpur railway stations, an official statement said.

The Central Railway said that in addition to its regular trains and to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer season a decision to run additional summer special trains has been taken.


It said that the Central Railway will now run additional 16 summer special train for the convenience of passengers travelling from LTT Mumbai to Sultanpur.


Following are the details of the special trains-

- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai - Sultanpur – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Mumbai (weekly) Special

04211 special will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16.35 hrs on every Tuesday from 06.05.2025 to 24.06.2025 and arrive Sultanpur at 23:00 hrs on next day (08 Services)

04212 special will depart Sultanpur at 04:00 hrs on every Mondays from 05.05.2025 to 23.06.2025 and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 14:00 hrs on next day. (08 Services)

Halts- Thane, Kalyan, Nasik road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi Jn, Rani Kampalpati, Bina, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur central and Lucknow.

Composition: 15 General Sleeper Coach, 3 General coach,  2 Luggage cum Guard’s Brake Vans.

"Bookings for special train no. 04211 on special charges will open on April 25 at all computerised reservation centers and on the IRCTC website," an official statement said.

Central Railway announces temporary ban on platform tickets at major CSMT, LTT, Kalyan and Pune stations

Meanwhile, last week, the Central Railway on Thursday announced that to manage crowds during the busy summer 2025 vacation period, a temporary restriction on the sale of platform tickets at four major Maharashtra railway stations including Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Kalyan and Pune. 

An official statement, issued by the Central Railway said that in anticipation of a heavy rush during the summer vacation period, Central Railway has imposed temporary restrictions on the sale of platform tickets at select major stations.

"The restriction of sale of platform ticket will be effective from 18.04.2025 to 15.05.2025," the statement said.

The step aims for crowd management on platforms and ensure smooth passenger movement within station premises, it said.

"Aged persons, senior citizens, ailing persons, children, and lady passengers unable to fend for themselves are exempted from these restrictions to ensure ease of travel. The Passengers are requested to plan accordingly and adhere to the new regulations for a smooth and safe travel experience during the summer vacation period, the Central Railway statement said.
