Water supply to several parts of eastern Mumbai will be disrupted on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) carries out essential pipeline connection work in Bhandup (East).
In an official statement on Monday, the BMC’s Public Relations Department announced that the work involves connecting a 900 mm x 900 mm water pipeline at Chamunda Nagar. To facilitate the task, the civic body will need to temporarily shut down the water supply.
However, officials clarified that the shutdown will begin only after the regular water supply window, which is from 3:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Residents in Nahur Station (East), Bhandup (East), Kanjurmarg (East), and Vikhroli (East) are likely to experience disruptions later in the day.
The BMC has advised citizens to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the interruption. The civic body assured that water supply will be restored promptly after the completion of the connection work.
