Rapper Asim Riaz has decided to postpone the launch of his upcoming song amid ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. The two neighbouring countries have been at loggerheads for quite some time, and with India successfully carrying out 'Operation Sindoor', destroying several terrorist bases in POK and Pakistan, the tension between the two countries has escalated. In the wake of this, Asim Riaz has decided to hold the launch of his new song.

Asim took to his social media to share his decision of postponing the launch of his new song with his fans. In the message, while the rapper mentioned the new release date of his song, he also prayed for peace. Taking to his social media account, Asim wrote, “Due to current tension between two nations, I have decided to postpone my song release by a week. New date is 14 May.”

Further, while reacting to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, Asim stated, “Some things are bigger than music. Prayers for peace and strength to all,” Asim added.

Asim Riaz on Pahalgam Terror Attack

After the heinous terror attack on April 22, Asim Riaz took to his social media and wrote, “A valley of beauty turned into a scene of horror. Kashmir cries tonight, and so do we. Terror stole lives, futures, peace. I condemn this heinous act and pray for strength to those left behind.”

About Operation Sindoor

Retaliating against the Pahalgam attack, Indian armed forces early Wednesday carried out missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad stronghold of Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base in Muridke.

The military strikes were conducted under Operation Sindoor two weeks after the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians. The nine targets struck under 'Operation Sindoor' — four in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir — were chosen by the IAF after receiving intelligence inputs about terror camps operating under the guise of health centres to evade detection at these sites, officials said on Wednesday.

The Indian Ministry of Defence, in a statement issued at 1:44 am IST, confirmed the launch of Operation Sindoor, stating: “A little while ago, the Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor,’ hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.”
