Becoming a mom isn’t just about giving birth—it’s a feeling, a deep instinct to nurture life, whether it’s a child or a pet. Tinaa Dattaa is one such proud pet parent to her first golden retriever, Bruno, her very special furry baby, gifted to her by none other than Arjun Bijlani. This Mother’s Day 2025, in conversation with us at Mid-Day, Tinaaa Dattaa opened up about how she welcomed her furry baby into her life.
How Arjun Bijlani and Tinaaa Dattaa are connected?
Yes, you read that right! Arjun Bijlani and Tinaa Dutta are actually connected through their pets. Surprised? Here’s the catch: not only did Arjun gift the puppy to Tinaa, but Bruno is actually the son of Arjun’s dog! In a candid chat with Mid-day, Tinaa revealed, "A friend of mine had Bruno—as in, puppies—his father was Bozo. Actually, Bruno is Arjun Bijlani's dog's son, so that’s how I got him as a gift."
Tinaa was beyond excited to welcome Bruno into her life. As she put it, "This was my first Golden Retriever!"
Tinaa Dattaa on loosing her pet Rani
Before Bruno, Tinaa was pet-mom to her Labrador, Rani, who tragically passed away while Tinaa was locked inside the Bigg Boss house. The loss left a lasting scar on her heart. Since then, she’s made it a point to devote as much time as possible to her furry companion.
Talking about Rani, Tinaa opened up emotionally, "I found out when I was inside the house... she was very sick and had undergone surgery. Rani—I'm talking about Rani—she would be staring at the door, waiting for me to come back."
Calling it the most pathetic moment of her life, she added, "I still regret going for that show, because I couldn’t say goodbye to her one last time. I’ll always carry that regret."
