Kashmir born actress Hina Khan has been actively reacting to the growing tensions between India and Pakistan and the war-like situations on the borders. While India effectively retaliated to the neighbouring country's drone and missile attacks and gave them back with double power, Hina, who hails from Kashmir, one of the most sensitive places right now, has now reacted to what happened last night on 8th May.

Hina Khan took to her Instagram and dropped her first story where she simply sent prayers for everyone in danger and wrote, "Prayer and only prayers." In her next story, Hina supported India's decision to give Pakistan a strong response, but also prayed for de-escalation of the situation. In her story, she wrote, "No one wins in a war. No one. Innocents die on both sides. Praying for the frontliners."

Further, while blaming Pakistan for starting the battle India never called for, she wrote, "We didn't want war before Pahalgam, we don't want it now... Butttt our people were killed, our response was important, precise and non-escalatory. We don't promote violence... And I know all of us eventually prefer peace." She concluded her note by supporting India but urging for de-escalation and said, "As much as I stand with my country to eradicate terrorism... I also wish and pray for de-escalation 🙏 Jai Hind."

India-Pakistan attacks

Pakistan attacked India with multiple drones and missiles targeted at the country's bordering states, leading to a complete blackout in several states, along with airport services being suspended. Pakistan's attack came after India carried out Operation Sindoor, where they destroyed several terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK. After Pakistan's attack on the country, the Indian armed forces retaliated with full force, including INS Vikrant coming into action.

About Operation Sindoor

The Operation Sindoor was approved following a high-level security meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29. It targeted major strongholds of banned terror outfits. According to PTI, these included Jaish-e-Mohammad’s base in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s headquarters in Muridke, near Lahore. Additional strikes were conducted in PoK, including areas like Kotli and Muzaffarabad, known for housing terror camps and training facilities. In a statement issued at 1:44 a.m. IST, the Indian Ministry of Defence confirmed, “A little while ago, the Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor,’ hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.”
