The Celebrity MasterChef winner Gaurav Khanna has finally reacted to the rumours of a rift with Rupali and dropped a hint about whether he is going to return to Anupamaa

Gaurav Khanna made a lot of buzz with his role as Anuj Kapadia on the show Anupamaa and quickly became the fans' favourite. But it came as a shock when Gaurav exited the show midway, leaving fans confused. Soon after his exit from the show, rumours started to swirl that he had a fallout with co-star and the show's main lead, Rupali Ganguly. Now, the Celebrity MasterChef winner has finally reacted to the rumours of a rift with Rupali and dropped a hint about whether he is going to return to the show.
Gaurav Khanna on rift with Rupali
While addressing whether he left the show because of differences with Rupali Ganguly, he set the record straight and dismissed all such claims, sharing that no actor would walk away from such an important role over any personal issues.
While talking about the possibility of his return to the show, he added, “Anuj Kapadia, for me, is a comma; there’s no full stop. Rajan Sir hasn’t killed the character. It’s just that there’s no space in the story for him. But it is Indian television. Anyone can be alive and there are many examples. However, that doesn’t mean that I’m coming back to the show. But never say never."
Other cast members on leaving the show
Before Gaurav, Paras Kalnawat, Nidhi Shah, and Sudhanshu Pandey quit the show.
Paras had earlier said in an interview on Chuddy Buddy Season 2, "Some of my scenes were cut. I wanted my storyline to progress because it suddenly ended. And everyone knows who was behind that. The channel didn’t want to get involved in the process of the show, which was already performing well. It was like, if she had a problem doing scenes with a particular person, they would just remove that person. The channel wouldn’t question her. I don’t want to name that person, but everyone knew who it was."
