A special screening of actor Amol Parashar's new series Gram Chikitsalay was held at the Excel Entertainment office in Khar. Parashar looked sharp in a suit for the occasion and was seen posing with his parents. However, the highlight of the evening was his appearance with his rumoured lady love, actress and filmmaker Konkona Sensharma.

Amol Parashar and Konkona Sensharma's first public appearance

For quite some time now, there have been reports suggesting that Amol and Konkona are dating. However, the two have neither confirmed the rumours nor been spotted together—until now. This seems to be their first public appearance as a couple.

For the screening, Amol opted for a blue striped suit, while Konkona exuded boss energy in a grey power suit. The two were all smiles as they posed for the paparazzi. The duo had previously worked together in the film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare.

Amol on keeping the relationship private

Back in 2024, in an interview, Amol had confirmed being in a serious relationship and shared why he preferred to keep it private. “Nothing is stopping me. I have found no good reason to put it out there. And there is a sort of sanctity to actual, real relationships. It feels a little more pure. Also, what will I get out of it? It can be used for PR. Yaha nahi bhi hote relationships toh chala dete hai. Many people and PRs have suggested to me in the past, ki kuch chala dete hai. But in terms of people at large, I want them to talk about my work. When I put my feelings and vulnerabilities out there, that's also through my work. So, it's work. When I want to share something, I'll share it through my work. I'll share my pain through my work. But who has caused that pain? That involves other people.”

Without naming Konkona, Amol also mentioned that he and his partner are not hiding their relationship:

“I may just put a picture tomorrow, soch ke kya karna hai. If it goes for a while, you prefer keeping it low. There is nothing we are missing out on. We are not hiding from people. We go to parties and all of that, and people know. But to put something out there in the media has not felt necessary. It is not like we need it,” the Sardar Udham actor shared.
