Abhishek Upmanyu deactivates X account
Comedian Abhishek Upmanyu is the latest internet personality who is bearing the brunt of social media after posting a simple reply to a Pakistani user on X. Amid the ongoing tensions between the two neighbouring countries following the devastating Pahalgam terror attack, Abhishek’s post did not sit well with netizens who drove him to deactivate his account.
What made Abhishek Upmanyu deactivate his X account
It all started with a so-called poem shared by an X user attacking a Pakistani woman. The lines in the post reeked of profanity, which led to the reply of another Pakistani user who wrote, “Zero class. Abuses is not equal to humour. The whole world sees your country as this hub of rapists and rightfully so. This is 'funny' according to the average Indian. You lot deserve all the racism you're facing in the west.”
Abhishek reacted to this post and replied, “Yup,” which led to severe backlash.
Wtf Abhishek Upmanyu !!!

Netizens react to Abhishek Upmanyu’s post
One user wrote, “Twitter didn’t spare Abhishek Upmanyu because he chose to stand with a Pakistani handle that insults Indians. When you betray your own country for cheap validation, you don’t get sympathy… You get exactly what you deserve: public shame and irrelevance. He collapsed under his own cowardice.”
“Wtf Abhishek Upmanyu!!! Ashamed to ever think you were good. You guys are so blind for hate towards everyone opposing your view, they would literally SUPPORT A PAKISTANI in this critical time. This whole saga is exposing a lot of cockroaches,” added another.
About the Pahalgam terror attack
On April 22, terrorists attacked tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen while leaving several others injured, in one of the deadliest attacks in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were killed.
The attack comes at a time when Kashmir is experiencing a significant uptick in tourist arrivals after years of militancy.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), aided by forensic and other experts, is checking the entire area thoroughly for evidence to expose the terror conspiracy that led to the horrendous attack that has shocked the nation.
