Currently, the 36-year-old is busy featuring for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025. As of now, the ongoing cash-rich league has been suspended indefinitely.

On May 9, RCB was set to lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground. Following the rising tensions between two arch-rivals, India and Pakistan, the IPL 2025 match stands suspended.

Until further notice, no play will be resumed.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Indian Armed Forces had destroyed terrorist camps at nine different locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor'. The operation was launched in response to the terror attack that took place in Pahalgam on April 22.

Meanwhile, a complete blackout was enforced in several bordering districts after sirens went off on Thursday, amid drone attacks from Pakistan.

The Border Security Force (BSF) also foiled a major infiltration attempt along the International Boundary in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. The attempt was made around 11 pm on Thursday. In a post on X, BSF Jammu wrote, "At around 2300 hours on 8 May 2025, BSF foiled a major infiltration bid at the International Boundary in Samba district, J&K."

Additionally, the Indian Army, on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, successfully repelled and responded to multiple drone attacks by Pakistan along the western border and the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Army said, "Pakistan Armed Forces launched multiple attacks using drones and other munitions along entire Western Border on the intervening night of 08 and 09 May 2025. Pak troops also resorted to numerous cease fire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The drone attacks were effectively repulsed and befitting reply was given to the CFVs. Indian Army remains committed to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Nation. All nefarious designs will be responded with force."

On Thursday, it was learnt that the Indian Army has shot down more than 50 Pakistani drones, according to the sources.
