Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the outstanding performance of girls in the state board examinations, applauding their achievements as a source of pride for the state. Announcing the Class 10 and 12 results on Tuesday, he congratulated the "daughters of the state" for topping the merit lists.
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) released the results for Class 10 and 12 on Tuesday. As per official data, results of approximately 8,04,768 regular High School students were declared. Among them, 4,29,042 students passed with First Division, 1,82,172 with Second Division, and 2,200 with Third Division. In total, 6,13,414 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 76.22 per cent.
According to ANI, CM Yadav said, "Once again, girls have outshone boys in the High School and Higher Secondary Board Exams. I congratulate all the girl students. The merit list shows that the number of girls is higher than that of boys. The overall pass percentage of girls is also greater. Women are our pride, that's why we call them Ladli Laxmi and Ladli Behna."
He further announced that Pragya Jaiswal from Singrauli topped the Class 10 exams with a perfect score of 500/500, while Priyal Dwivedi from Satna secured the top spot in the Class 12 Science, Mathematics group with 492/500. Other stream-wise toppers include Ankur Yadav from Rewa in the Humanities group with 489/500, Rimjhim Karothiya from Gwalior in Commerce with 491/500, Hariom Sahu from Chhindwara in Agriculture with 486/500, Yogyata Tank from Bhind in Fine Arts and Home Science with 478/500, and Gargi Agarwal from Damoh in Biology with 484/500.

The Chief Minister highlighted that this year's board exam results mark a significant improvement compared to the last 15 years, calling them the best results in the past few years. Addressing students who were unable to pass the exams, he encouraged them not to lose hope, assuring them that they would be given a second chance under the New Education Policy 2020. Those aiming to improve their marks will also be given another opportunity to appear for the exams.
CM Yadav pointed out a notable leap in the High School pass percentage, which rose from 58.10 per cent in 2024 to 76.22 per cent in 2025, an improvement of 18.12 percentage points. The Higher Secondary pass percentage also saw an increase from 64.49% last year to 74.48% this year. Girls continued to perform better than boys, with a pass rate of 77.55 per cent compared to 71.37 per cent among boys, according to ANI.
In the Higher Secondary Examination, results for 6,01,951 regular candidates were declared. Among these, 3,18,743 students passed with First Division, 1,29,472 with Second Division, and 592 with Third Division. In total, 4,48,807 students passed, achieving an overall pass percentage of 74.48 per cent.
CM was overwhelmed to see among the students girls outperformed boys as the passing percentage of boys stood at 73.21 per cent while, the pass percentage of girls was 79.27 per cent, according to ANI.
