Twin sisters Arushi and Ayati Sinha topped the list of Science stream at the Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College in their HSC examinations. While Arushi stood first with 98.17 per cent, Ayati secured the second spot with 95.67 per cent. "I am very happy and grateful to my teachers, parents and most importantly my sister for standing by me, teaching me and supporting me throughout," said Arushi, who had expected a similar score.

However, on the other hand, though Ayati is happy with her percentage, she opines that her results dropped because of scoring less in two subjects. "I had expected that I would score over 90 in English, whereas I got 85. Also, in Chemistry, I expected to get 98 or 99, but I scored less. I have decided to take this up with my college and then apply to the boards to recheck the papers. Had I scored as much as I expected, my overall percentage would have been higher," expressed Ayati.

While both plan to take up a career with a specialisation in Mathematics, they plan of different applications of the subject. "I am planning to pursue Mathematical Science. But I haven't decided which section in particular. Right now, I wish to explore everything that one can study under Mathematical Science and later I will decide on a specialisation based on my interests and the one which benefits our nation the most," shared Arushi. On the other hand, Ayati is quite clear about her options.

"I plan to pursue Applied Mathematics and get into data analytics and data science. From what I have observed, today, data analysis is important in all major fields such as medicine, law, public policy - basically everything. Thus, the field has great scope and it will also help me do my bit for my country," said Ayati.

Both sisters unanimously agreed that having a sibling, especially a twin, is a blessing. "Having someone of the same age, understanding, value system and ideas is a great support system, especially during important academic years. Not just for studies, but we had company to unwind as well. We would go for a run together or play badminton to unwind. This way, we could take care of our physical and mental fitness," said Ayati.

Arushi mentioned, "We love reading and listening to music as well. So we would at times skip going out and just do either of these. Whether studying or such activities, we always work as a unit. While studying also, we would clear each other's doubts and help each other memorise lessons."

I had expected a score of 90-93 per cent. My results have brought in a lot of joy and I was surprised to see that I have topped the Science stream in my college. Though I have cleared the entrance exam for Computer Science at the University of Toronto, I am preparing for my NDA exams. I have already cleared the written exam and have qualified for the interview. My preference is getting into NDA.

I had expected a score of 90 per cent, so anything higher is a bonus. I was overwhelmed to see my result and I was speechless when I got to know that I have topped my college in the Arts stream. I plan to appear for the Civil Services Exam once I complete my bachelor's degree with a specialisation in Political Science. My focus is on IAS, IFS and Forest Services. I will start my preparations now, simultaneously with my bachelor's course and will focus completely on that once I finish my graduation because I want to focus on other curricular activities as well. I think overall development is very important in facing today's challenging world.
