India beat USA 1-0 to claim the bronze medal in the second leg of women four- nation hockey tournament at in Pakuranga, Auckland.

Indian midfielder Deepika scored the all-important goal in the 40th minute after the two teams were locked goalless in the half time. India defended stoutly to deny USA, who have already qualify to play in the London Olympics to score. Indian defence and midfield was compact with Joydeep Kaur, Ausnta Lakra, Deepika and Ritu Rani making timely interceptions. Goalkeeper Yogita Bali was declared best goalkeeper in the tournament.
