The IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was washed out due to persistent rain. Following the abandoned match, SRH head coach Daniel Vettori feels that the conditions in Hyderabad were not as they expected.

"I definitely did not say after every match I was backing an aggressive approach. I said we are about assessing conditions and this year, the conditions weren't as we expected. If you look at last year, there were a lot of high-scoring games here. These surfaces in particular have been a little bit different. It has been tricky, it has not been easy for the batters," said Vettori in the post-match press conference.

Later, the rain played the spoilsport in the match, which could have been an easy two points for Hyderabad.

Further, the 46-year-old highlighted the lack of consistency by the team in the IPL 2025.

"Obviously, it is disappointing. We came in with high hopes, but we have not been consistent enough with our performances. I have spoken to you guys a number of times around just not being able to put complete performances together. Today was the start of a complete performance, so it is frustrating that we could not finish it, but that is cricket," he added.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play their upcoming IPL 2025 fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 10 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Later, they will clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on May 13 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The "Orange Army" will conclude with their group stage matches with the game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 18 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground.

With three wins and seven defeats out of 11 matches, SRH is placed in the eighth position of the IPL 2025 points table.
