They discovered and destroyed a militant hideout in the Simbli Shajroo area of Mahore, which is in the Reasi district. The operation was based on specific intelligence information, and it led to the recovery of a significant amount of weapons and ammunition. The seized items included four magazines, 268 rounds of AK-47 rifle ammunition, four Under Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGL), and four packets of detonators. Since December 2024, 17 people have died in Rajouri’s Budhal village due to a mysterious illness. A team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Chandigarh has arrived to investigate. Forensic teams from Chandigarh and Lucknow, along with Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) teams, are also on the ground. The illness seems to affect the brain and nervous system. As Lok Sabha Elections 2024 moves to the 4th phase, armed forces have activated an extreme-level security grid in Poonch for a straight 6th day in Jammu & Kashmir. An extensive search operation has been launched in J&K’s Poonch after a dastardly ambush attack on an IAF convoy on May 04. Equipped with high-end weapons, the Indian Army and SOG have been scanning thick dense forests in the region to flush out terrorists. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on December 27 visited Rajouri to review the security situation in the Kashmir valley. While addressing the media persons, Raksha Mantri issued a stern warning to Pakistan and assured that the required steps are being taken on the Poonch Terror Attack. On top of that, Rajnath Singh boosted the morale of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. “I would pray for the speedy recovery of the army personnel who sustained injuries and like to assure you that keeping in mind the severity of the incident, required steps are being taken.
