Pakistan violates LoC ceasefire for 4th time amid tensions after Pahalgam terror attack

Tensions are rising along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir as Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire for the fourth night in a row. Unprovoked firing was reported from Kupwara and, for the first time, the Poonch sector—pointing to a possible escalation. This comes after the deadly April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley, where 26 people were killed. The Indian Army said that Pakistan started the firing using small arms, and Indian forces responded effectively. No casualties have been reported so far. Security forces are on high alert, and officials have asked people living near the border to remain careful and stay updated on safety instructions.
