The Shiv Sena on Thursday erected posters across Mumbai hailing the Indian Army and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of Operation Sindoor, a military offensive reportedly carried out by Indian Armed Forces against Pakistan.

According to ANI, the posters were prominently displayed near Dadar Station, one of the busiest railway hubs in the city. The banners conveyed messages of support and admiration for the Armed Forces and the Prime Minister, commending their swift and decisive action in response to recent terrorist activity.

The operation was conducted on Wednesday as a joint mission by the Indian Armed Forces targeting nine key locations across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). This action followed the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, which claimed multiple lives and drew widespread condemnation.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Colonel Sophiya Qureshi shared official details of Operation Sindoor during a press briefing. According to ANI, Wing Commander Singh stated that the operation was launched with the clear aim of delivering justice to the victims and their families. The Armed Forces struck nine identified terror sites, ensuring that the operation was precise and effective.

Colonel Qureshi, during the briefing, presented video evidence of the targeted strikes, which included footage of attacks on camps located in Muridke, a known hub of terrorist activity.

In the wake of the operation, heightened security alerts have been issued across several northern Indian cities. Amritsar Airport has been closed until further notice as a precautionary measure.

Additionally, the union government convened an all-party meeting on Thursday to brief them about the strike carried out by the armed forces targeting terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Riiiju posted on X about the proposed meeting.

"Govt has called an All Party leaders meeting at 11 am on May 8, 2025 at Committee Room: G-074, in the Parliament Library Building, Parliament Complex in New Delhi," he said.

Key political figures, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, are expected to be in attendance.
