Over a week after announcing the Std XII (HSC) results, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is now set to declare the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Std X exams today at 1 pm.

The board confirmed the date in an official statement issued on Monday by Board Secretary Devidas Kulal, ending days of speculation among students and parents. Last year, the SSC results were announced on May 27, with Mumbai division recording a 2 per cent improvement in pass percentage compared to 2023.

Students can check their results online at official portals and partner websites. Subject-wise marks will be available, and students can download printouts for reference. Schools will be able to view consolidated results and statistical data through the board’s portal using their school login at mahahsscboard.in.

Rechecking and revaluation

Students who wish to verify their marks or obtain photocopies of answer sheets can apply online between May 14 and May 28. Applications must be submitted via the official website, with fees payable through Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or Net Banking. For revaluation, students must first apply for photocopies of their answer sheets and submit the revaluation request within five working days of receiving them.

Supplementary exams

Students who pass all subjects will be eligible for the class improvement scheme, allowing them up to three attempts between June-July 2025, February-March 2026, and June-July 2026—to improve their scores.

Meanwhile, applications for the June–July 2025 supplementary exams for repeaters, private candidates, and improvement candidates will open online from Thursday, May 15, 2025. “A detailed notification will be issued separately,” the board officials said.

FYJC admissions

Students applying for First Year Junior College (FYJC/Std XI) across Maharashtra must now register online. An application fee of R100 will be charged. The admission process has been centralised, and candidates are required to list a minimum of one and a maximum of 10 college preferences. Earlier, students had to physically submit forms at colleges, which made the process time-consuming and inconsistent.

FYJC online system

>> Four regular centralised admission rounds.
>> A final “Open Admission for All” round to fill remaining seats.
>> No offline admissions, including for management or manual quotas.
>> All admissions will be merit-based.
>> Classes will start after the first four rounds conclude.
>> Divisional deputy directors of education will supervise the process and coordinate with schools and colleges.
