Across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, mothers are not just caregivers—they are warriors, nurturers, and the emotional backbone of families, often driving the heart of the narrative with their powerful presence.

Chatrapathi (2005, Telugu)
Chatrapathi narrates the story of a mom who loves both her sons equally is forced to evacuate the place where they are living. The evacuation separates her from kids, and one of them grows up on tales of revenge as he hates his adopted brother, who later becomes a leader of the city. How she reunites with his elder son forms the crux of the story. Chatrapathi is a movie that's kind of about everything. But at its core, it has a painful mother-son story. Pan-Indian actor Prabhas really steals the show and leaves you feeling on edge.
