Cannon took to Instagram to comment on the 45-year-old singer and the 48-year-old businessman's engagement, alongside an image of him lying on a hospital bed beside Kevin Hart, that bears the caption, 'It's just a ring Nick,' reports E! Online.

Packer proposed the Grammy-winning singer earlier this week with a 35-carat diamond engagement ring.
The 35-year old comedian had filed for divorce from Carey in December 2014 after six years of marriage. The two are parents to 4-year-old twins, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe. Packer, 48, split from second wife Erica Baxter, 38, in 2013. The two share three children.
