Fawad Khan, who was gearing up for his Bollywood comeback opposite Vaani Kapoor in Abir Gulaal, has now reacted to Operation Sindoor. Responding to India's missile strike on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the actor called it a “shameful act.” He also extended condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in India’s retaliation following the Pahalgam terror attack.

While the Instagram account of the Pakistani actor remains inaccessible in India, a screenshot of his Instagram story is going viral. In it, he wrote, “My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their loved ones in the days to come.” He further added, “A respectful request to all: stop stoking the flames with rabble-rousing words. It is not worth the lives of innocent people. May better sense prevail. InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad!”

Several other Pakistani celebrities, including Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Mawra Hocane & others have also condemned the missile strikes on their country.

About Operation Sindoor

The operation, which was approved following a high-level security meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29, targeted key strongholds of banned terror outfits. According to PTI, these included Jaish-e-Mohammad’s base in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s sprawling markaz in Muridke, located near Lahore. Additional targets in PoK included Kotli and Muzaffarabad, known to host camps and training grounds for both LeT and JeM.

The Indian Ministry of Defence, in a statement issued at 1:44 am IST, confirmed the launch of Operation Sindoor, stating:
“A little while ago, the Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor,’ hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.”

India Bans Pakistani Actors’ Accounts

Following the horrific Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian government has taken a stricter stance against Pakistani nationals. As part of its broader response, the government has also cracked down on the digital space. Several Pakistani artists’ Instagram accounts are now blocked and inaccessible in India.
