Pehchaan Season 2

Following the success of its debut season, the thought-provoking talk show Pehchaan is set to return with a powerful new theme and direction. Season 2 has officially been announced and will shift its spotlight to the rich cultural, spiritual, and intellectual contributions of the Brahmin community within the framework of Sanatan Dharma.

The show will be helmed by filmmaker Vinay Bhhardwaj, who steps in as the new creative force. Pehchaan Season 2 promises to bring forth untold stories of devotion, sacrifice, and service that have shaped the Brahmin identity for centuries. This new chapter aims to present how the Brahmin community has historically upheld the principles of Dharma, advanced society through knowledge, and made profound sacrifices for the nation.

Season 1, which streamed on Sony LIV, was hosted by Mahesh Bhatt and featured 13 heartfelt narratives centered around the strength and struggles of the Sikh community. In contrast, Season 2 seeks to create a deeper cultural impact by portraying the philosophical and societal contributions of Brahmins-especially in the context of recent public discourse stirred by controversial remarks made by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

Describing his intent behind the season, director-producer Vinay Bhhardwaj shared:
“It’s time Brahmin heritage is treated with respect, not noise. We are more than temple custodians-we are the torchbearers of knowledge. Pehchaan Season 2 is a platform to share this truth and reflect the values Lord Krishna emphasized-welfare of cows, Brahmins, and all of humanity. That vision is not just ancient; it is our cultural identity.”

Producer Vinit Pilania added that the scope and influence of this season will be significantly broader:
“This is not just a show; it’s a movement to rediscover and celebrate timeless values.”

Co-producer Somdutt Sharma, a scholar of Hindu studies and astrology at Panjab University, echoed this sentiment:
“Through Pehchaan, we aim to bring the eternal stream of Sanatan wisdom to every household. These stories are more than narratives-they are spiritual journeys of truth, courage, and self-awakening.”

Vinay Bhhardwaj, known for bold and socially conscious storytelling, recently directed Hukus Bukus, a film depicting the plight and identity crisis of Kashmiri Hindus. Featuring Darsheel Safary and Arun Govil, the film is recognized not just as cinema but as a historical document of long-suppressed voices.

Pehchaan Season 2 is being produced under the Shining Sun Studioss banner by Vinit Pilania, Somdutt Sharma, and Vinay Bhhardwaj. The series is powered by Aaryawrat Astroworld, an institution committed to promoting Vedic traditions, astrology, and Sanatan values.

The identity of the show’s host remains a closely guarded secret, but industry insiders suggest that a prominent Sanatani personality could soon be announced. Speculation is rife about potential hosts, including celebrated names such as Ashutosh Rana, Dr. Kumar Vishwas, and Anupam Kher, all of whom carry strong cultural and spiritual appeal.

With its bold new direction and emphasis on cultural revival, Pehchaan Season 2 is poised to be a landmark series-offering both a tribute and a timely reintroduction to India’s ancient roots through the lens of modern storytelling.
