The World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2025 concluded on a powerful note at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, with Prof. (Dr.) Balvir S. Tomar, International President of the World Health Summit and Chairperson of NIMS University, steering this historic initiative. It marked a watershed moment-India hosting the prestigious platform for the first time-firmly positioning itself as a leader in global health equity, innovation, and multilateral collaboration.
Over the course of three days, the summit brought together more than 5,000 delegates from 54 countries, hosted 950+ global speakers, and presented 160+ high-impact sessions in collaboration with 90+ global partners including WHO-SEARO, UNICEF, ADB, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Siemens Healthineers.
India’s Vision: Health with Dignity and Equity
In his inaugural address, Prof. Tomar lauded the transformational vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, calling Ayushman Bharat a “movement of health dignity and protection.”
“Ayushman Bharat is transforming healthcare access for millions of families. It’s a testament to the power of inclusive and compassionate governance,” Prof. Tomar stated.
He also extended gratitude to Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Health Minister Shri JP Nadda for their pivotal roles in strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem.
