The 'Men in Blue' managed to secure a victory by 24 runs against the Aussies at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

Later, under his leadership, Team India won the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados, followed by the Champions Trophy 2025 title.
After winning the T20 World Cup, the veteran drew curtains on his international career in the shortest format of the game. Along with him, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, too, announced their retirements from the formats.
