The ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) will continue to run as scheduled, despite the rising cross-border tensions with India, in wake of the horrific Pahalgam terrorist attack in South Kashmir on April 22, claimed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday.
The Indian armed forces, in the early hours of Wednesday, launched precision missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including the strongholds of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke.
As per PTI, a source close to PCB said that, so far, no overseas players have put in any request to exit the competition mid-way following rising tensions with India.

At least three media managers of the six franchises in the league said it was a developing situation, but so far, no overseas player(s) from their teams had requested to leave the league. Each franchise in the league has 5-6 overseas players in its squad.
The PCB said the match scheduled between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators will take place as usual at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
On May 7, 8, 9 and 10, the PSL matches are set to be scheduled in Rawalpindi. The final group stage match is scheduled to be played in Multan on May 11.
The Qualifier is set to take place in Rawalpindi on 13 May, while both Eliminators (1 and 2) and the final of the marquee event are to take place on 14, 16 and 18 May, respectively, at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Indian Premier League (IPL)
After 'Operation Sindoor', PTI reported that the IPL 2025 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) is likely to be shifted from Dharamshala Stadium to Wankhede Stadium. There are possibilities that the match between PBKS and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Dharamshala can be rescheduled as the flight operations have been suspended.
Considering that Dharamshala is located near the India-Pakistan border, there might be a threat at the venue.
This was India's deepest strike inside Pakistan's undisputed territory since 1971. This marks New Delhi's most significant military action within Pakistani territory in over five decades.
