As the Gujarat Titans (GT) prepare to face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, anticipation is high for a thrilling encounter in IPL 2025.
One of the key battles to watch will be between GT's explosive batsman Jos Buttler and SRH's ace pacer and skipper, Pat Cummins. With both players capable of turning the game on its head, this face-off promises fireworks.
The Titans will be looking to make the most of their home advantage. With Narendra Modi Stadium serving as their fortress, the expectations are high for a captain's knock from Shubman Gill. The right-hander will be pivotal in anchoring the innings and providing leadership on the field.
However, much of GT's batting strength this season has come from the consistent Sai Sudharsan. The elegant left-hander has emerged as a standout performer and is currently the second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2025, amassing 456 runs. A solid start from him at the top will be crucial for Gujarat's success tonight.

GT vs SRH, IPL 2025: Injuries and unavailability
Gill is on the road to recovery after suffering a back spasm during match against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur last week. The GT skipper missed the field action in that game and made IPL history by becoming the first captain to be substituted out using the Impact Player rule, with Ishant Sharma taking his place.
As GT prepare to face SRH, signs are positive regarding Gill's return to action. "His fitness, there was a bit of a back spasm. We're just trying to be careful with it. He'll be at training today. We'll just see where he's at. We're reasonably confident that he's going to be OK," Vikram Solanki, GT's Director of Cricket, was quoted as saying, on the eve of the match in Ahmedabad.
