Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur airbase in Punjab’s Jalandhar on May 13, just days after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire following heightened tensions. Adampur, the second-largest military airbase of the Indian Air Force, was one of the key locations involved in the recent conflict. This visit marked PM Modi’s first to any military air station since the launch of Operation Sindoor. Accompanied by Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, the Prime Minister spent nearly an hour at the base. He was briefed by IAF personnel on the current security situation and recent operational developments. During his visit, PM Modi also interacted with the air force jawans, praised their bravery and dedication, and took photographs with them to boost morale. The visit followed his recent national address on Operation Sindoor.
