In a joint press conference held under Operation Sindoor, top representatives from the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Army, and Indian Air Force addressed the nation amid the ongoing conflict escalation with Pakistan. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri strongly responded to remarks made by the Pakistani military, saying, "It may be a surprise to Pakistanis to see citizens criticising their own government — but that`s what a democracy looks like. Their unfamiliarity with this shouldn’t be surprising." Adding to the gravity of the situation, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi from the Indian Army condemned Pakistan’s actions during the recent conflict. "In a condemnable and unprofessional act, Pakistan targeted hospitals and school premises at airbases in Srinagar, Awantipur, and Udhampur. This once again exposed their tendency to target civilian infrastructure."
