Against the backdrop India-Pakistan tensions, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday held a high-level Civil-Military Coordination meeting at his official residence âVarsha' in Mumbai, an official statement said.
The meeting was focused on enhancing cooperation between the state government and the armed forces to ensure the safety and preparedness of key infrastructure and civilian areas, it said.
During the meeting, CM Fadnavis praised the precision and effectiveness of the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor, calling it "unprecedented" and saluted their efforts in safeguarding the nation.
"I salute the armed forces. Mumbai is extremely important as it is the state's financial capital. Intelligence sharing will be extremely important and adequate care needs to be taken on the cyber security front," he said, according to the PTI.

CM Fadnavis highlighted Mumbai's importance as India's financial capital and stressed that any terror threat to the city could directly impact the country's economic foundation.
CM Fadnavis mentioned about strengthening cyber security and improved intelligence coordination, the statement said.
He directed that an independent mechanism should be set up to ensure stronger coordination between the state and defence forces.
CM Fadnavis also called for regular information exchange and communication among senior officials.
The meeting was also attended by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, along with senior officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, including a Lieutenant General, Rear Admiral, Commander, and Air Vice Marshal.
Indian army's General Officer Commanding (GOC) for Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa Area Lt Gen Pawan Chadha; Navy's Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra Naval Area (FOMA) Rear Admiral Anil Jaggi, Indian Air Force (IAF) Air Vice Marshal Air Vice Marshal Rajat Mohan, representatives of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Home Guards, among others, were present on the occasion.
Maharashtra Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti and others also attended the meeting.
Top officials from the state government such as the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, and heads of departments from Home and Intelligence were also present, the statement said,
In addition, representatives from the Reserve Bank of India, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), Bombay Port Trust (BPT), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), National Stock Exchange (NSE), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and Home Guards attended the meeting.
