As many as 10 absconding or wanted suspects were held and over 1,800 people were penalised for traffic rules violations as the Mumbai Police conducted a massive âAll Out Operation' in city, officials said on Sunday.
Mumbai Police successfully carried out a major 'All Out Operation' across the city from 11 pm on April 26, 2025, to 2 am on April 27, 2025, they said.
The operation is a routine drive by the Mumbai Police, carried out on regular intervals, and is aimed to enhance law and order, curb illegal activities, and ensure public safety in the city.
Senior police officials, including Additional Commissioners from regional departments, Special Branch, Protection & Security, along with Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Senior Police Inspectors, and officers from all police stations in Mumbai actively participated in the operation.

It was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and Special Commissioner Deven Bharti, and the operation was monitored on ground by Joint Commissioner (Law & Order) Satyanarayan Chaudhary.
"Around 192 combing operations were carried out at various locations across Mumbai as part of the special operation and 10 wanted and absconding suspects were arrested during the operation," an official said.
According to the police, during the All Out Operation, 19 cases were registered for the possession of illegal weapons, drugs, gambling, and other unlawful activities. Forty persons were booked under Section 142 of the Mumbai Police Act, 28 persons were arrested under non-bailable warrants, and two others under standing warrants.
The police said that 64 individuals were booked under Sections 120 and 122 of the Maharashtra Police Act for suspicious behaviour.
As part of the special operation, 111 nakabandi points were set up across different police station jurisdictions and a total of 7,235 two-wheelers and four-wheelers were checked during the nakabandis.
"The police penalised 1,836 motorists who were fined under the Motor Vehicles Act for various traffic rules violations and 63 people were charged for drunk and driving under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act," the police said.
The special All Out Operation received strong coordination from all police units and was deemed highly effective in maintaining the law and order across Mumbai, the police said.
