IN PHOTOS: Bridge re-girdering work kicks off near Kandivali amid 35-hour Mumbai local block

The Western Railway (WR) is carrying out the re-girdering work on Bridge No 61 between Kandivali and Borivali stations in Mumbai. To facilitate this, WR has implemented a 35-hour block from 1 pm on Saturday to 12 am on Monday (PICS/SATEJ SHINDE)

During the block period, the suburban services and Mail/Express trains running on the 5th line will run on Fast lines

On Saturday, around 73 suburban services were cancelled while on Sunday, 90 locals have been cancelled

The block has also affected some passenger trains. Train No 19417 Borivali-Ahmedabad Express will short-originate from Vasai Road and remain partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Borivali

Train No 19425 Borivali–Nandurbar Express will short-originate from Bhayander and remain partially cancelled between Bhayander and Borivali
