ACP Pradyuman is back!
The happy news here! ACP Pradyuman is not dead. Yes, you read it right. ACP Pradyuman is all set to come back to the show. In the recently released promo on Sony Entertainment Channel, Shivaji Satam makes a grand return. The new promo features the two ACPs, Pradyuman and Ayushman, having a one-on-one conversation, as the new ACP informs Pradyuman that one of his team members wishes to kill him.

It was earlier announced that Shivaji Satam's character would exit the show after 18 years, and this news was not well received by social media and fans of the show, who questioned the makers about such a big change. Following heavy criticism, the makers have finally decided to bring the character back.
The promo starts with a voice saying, "ACP Pradyuman ke maut ka ab hoga parda faas." Following this, ACP Ayushman warns Pradyuman: "Aapke CID team me ek gaddar hai, jo aapko maarna chahta hai. Shak sabhi par hai, sir, lekin nishana sirf ek hai - wo hai aap."
The scene then cuts to show the team members of CID, including Abhijeet, Daya, Poorvi, Dr. Salunkhe, and others.
With Pradyuman's character making a comeback, there is a lot of chatter, especially with speculation that Parth Samthaan's character, ACP Ayushman, might only be around for a few weeks. When Mid-Day caught up with the actor to know the reality, Samthaan, who rose to prominence with his show Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, was quick to respond. "It's a mystery for me too," he said. However, he clarified that he hasn't been informed about any such track changes and firmly confirmed, "I am very much part of the show." On the possibility of his role being scrapped, he added, "It also depends on how the audience will react."
In the recent episode, a deadly criminal, Barboza, trapped ACP and seemingly killed him; however, his dead body or Barboza killing him wasn't shown on screen. Later, Sony TV also confirmed ACP's death in a social media post. After the recent episode of CID aired, the channel's official page put out a post for the beloved character ACP Pradyuman and extended their condolences with "Rest in peace" written on it.
