India finished third at the ISSF World Cup after the duo of Prithviraj Tondaiman and Pragati Dubey suffered an early exit in the trap mixed team event on the final day yesterday.

The standout performer for India was Suruchi Singh, 18, who claimed both of the country’s gold medals. She out-gunned Manu Bhaker to win the 10m air pistol title before winning the mixed team event with Saurabh Chaudhary.
Arya Borse was the other World Cup debutant to shine, clinching two silver medals in the mixed team rifle event. “It gives us immense pleasure to look at the depth we have developed in the sport. This shows that Indian shooting is moving in the right direction,” K Sultan Singh, the National Rifles Association of India, said.
