With the longevity in his career that spans over two decades, Tendulkar, famously known as "Little Master", has made 200 appearances in the longest format of the game (Test cricket). With this, he currently holds the record for being the player to feature in the most number of Test matches. Interestingly, England's former speedster James Anderson, who retired last year, came closest to him with 188 appearances

The veteran batsman holds the record for scoring as many as 15,921 runs, which is the most in Test cricket. In the same format, the former right-handed batsman also holds the record of registering the most centuries, which is 51. With his stunning strokes, Tendulkar has smashed 2,058 boundaries in his career, which remains the most by any player in the format's history

Fastest batsman to reach 15,000 runs
Test cricket being his premium format according to cricket experts, the 52-year-old is also the fastest batsman to reach the feat of 15,000 runs in the format, as he crossed the milestone and ended his career with 15,921 runs. He took 300 innings to achieve the milestone

Another elusive record in Tendulkar's name is of achieving the milestone of completing 18,000 runs in just 440 innings, and it currently stands at 18,426. No other batsman in the world has managed to even come close to this record
