On May 7, the Indian Armed Forces carried out a major strike, targeting nine locations across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The strikes hit areas including Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, as well as five sites in PoJK. Following the operation, tourists visiting the scenic town of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir expressed strong support for the Indian Army. Many were seen chanting slogans like “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Indian Army Zindabad.” One tourist said, “I came to Pahalgam after hearing a lot about it. I trust my country and salute the martyrs. I have full faith in our Army and Navy. We are here to support them, and there’s no fear.” Another tourist added, “We feel proud of what the Army has done. Though there is a bit of fear, we are feeling more relaxed now.”
“We are visiting Pahalgam without fear because the Indian Army is protecting us. There should be more such operations to eliminate the terrorists,” said a third tourist.
