Pahalgam Attack: Pakistani national claims to have voted in Indian elections

In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, Pakistani nationals on short-term visas were asked to leave the country. Hundreds of Pakistanis have left India after the issuance of the order through the Attari border. In a surprising revelation at the Attari border, a Pakistani national named Osama—who entered India in 2008—claimed that he had voted in Indian elections. While returning to Pakistan, he shared that he completed his schooling in India, holds a ration card, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree. He urged the Indian government for more time to stay as he is doubtful about his future in Pakistan.
