Five vehicle thieves were arrested and 10 cars, 27 motorcycles and four pistols were recovered in Ghaziabad, police said Wednesday

Ashu, a resident of Sardhana in Meerut, was arrested Monday on Link Road while he was driving a luxury car.


He led police to other gang members and 10 luxury cars, 27 motorcycles, a computer, a printer, a scanner, master keys, other kind of tools and four pistols. On the basis of his questioning, police arrested four other members of the gang.


The other gang members were identifed as Ravindra, resident of Phalawada in Meerut, Vineet, resident of Brahmpuri in Meerut, Mohd. Ishtiaque, resident of Mustafabad in Delhi, and Pradeep, resident of Mansarovar Park in Delhi.

The gang used to tamper with the stolen vehicles' documents and used to sell the vehicles with fake documents in Meerut, other adjoining districts and Nepal, police said.
