London: Rapper Kanye West has now become an expert at making long speeches at award shows and 2015 MTV VMAs was no different, however, with a twist in the tale this time, it seems the rapper was reportedly high before he took the stage.

Whilst continuing his speech at the event, the 38-year-old rapper said, 'And the art ain't always going to be polite! Ya'll might be thinking, I wonder, 'Did he smoke something before he came out?' The answer is yes, I rolled up something. I knocked the edge off.', the Daily Star reports.


To confirm what everybody was thinking, VMA host Miley Cyrus then stepped back up and joked, 'We all know what Kanye West can do when he smokes weed'.


The 'Black Skinhead' hit-maker then announced that he had decided to run for US President in 2020.
