What’s that title again?

Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Triptii Dimri are reportedly set to star in a comedy dramedy, helmed by Suresh Triveni. The director has earlier helmed Vidya Balan’s Tumhari Sulu (2017) and Jalsa (2022). The film’s working title is Ma Behan, and it will drop on OTT next year. The project is expected to go on floors next month in Mumbai. The movie follows a mother-daughter duo, played by Madhuri and Triptii, in a “character-driven comedy-drama”, as per the makers. We have learnt that the story revolves around the dynamic between the two lead characters, with both the actors bringing their unique styles to the roles. Ravi Kishan and Dharna Durga are also expected to join the cast. Last week, Madhuri and Triptii were spotted visiting the film’s production house, sparking rumours of their collaboration.

Break ke baad

Imran Khan is all set to make a comeback. He has apparently even started filming for his upcoming project (Laut aaya Imran, March 13). Reports suggest that the actor’s next will be a direct-to-OTT film, titled Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. Directed and written by Danish Aslam, the film is supposedly a dysfunctional romantic drama, which blends humour, heart, and chaos. Danish had earlier helmed Imran and Deepika Padukone’s Break Ke Baad (2010). Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada are expected to join Imran in this project. We have learnt that filming started in Mumbai last week and is set to wrap by July and drop on OTT, early 2026.

War against time

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic saga Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, may miss its March 2026 release date, and that’s apparently because the film’s shoot is taking longer than scheduled. It is likely to be wrapped up only in January next year. According to a source, it will be impossible for the team to finish post-production and arrive in theatres in March. The team is yet to shoot a major chunk of the war, which will only happen in November. Earlier this month, reports had surfaced suggesting the delay was due to SLB waiting for Deepika Padukone to shoot for her cameo after her maternity break. However, a source close to the film has confirmed to mid-day that Deepika is not making an appearance in the film, which was targeting Christmas 2025 release before being pushed to March 2026.

Ali Fazal is set to play a paparazzo in his next film, a dark dramedy exploring the chaotic world of celebrity photographers. A source revealed, “Ali has always chosen unconventional roles, and this one is no different.” The script is nearly finalised, and pre-production is expected to start in a few months, with filming slated for later this year. The film is expected to shed light on the reality of paparazzi culture in the entertainment industry. Meanwhile Ali also has Thug Life, Metro... In Dino and Rakt Bramhand in his kitty.
