Registrations open for Vasai-Virar marathon

Online registrations for the 11th Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation Marathon to be held on December 10, have opened.

"The 11th edition will continue to offer the increased prize money, which is among the highest in the country for Indian elite and amateur athletes and the registration fees will remain unchanged," said Commissioner of Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation, Anilkumar Pawar.

The marathon is one of the country's few sporting events to offer highest prize money for Indian athletes - xceeding Rs 54 lakhs and attracts the cream of India's elite long distance running talent.
