Indian GM R Praggnanandhaa climbed to second spot at the end of the first half of the blitz section in the Rapid & Blitz tournament here.

He had started with losses to Deac Bogdan-Daniel of Romania and Levon Aronian of US, but then recovered to beat the French duo of Firouzja Alireza and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. After another two draws, he won the next three rounds to end the day on 15.5 points.
