Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic fell 3-6, 4-6 to Italian Matteo Arnaldi in the Madrid Open on Saturday. It was a third straight defeat for the Serbian, seeded fourth, who lost the Miami Masters final on March 17 and his opening match in Monte Carlo on April 7.

Djokovic was in a hurry to wrap up the game quickly as he pressed for early winners, which reflected in 32 unforced errors. However, 44th-ranked Arnaldi used the entire court skilfully, blending powerful strokes with drop shots to keep the veteran guessing. "I came on court to play my best tennis and win, and it happened, so right now I don't even know what to say," said a stunned Arnaldi.
