After numerous hours of anxiety and hope, India's rising star in cue-sport, Ishpreet Singh Chadha scored a psychological and career-boosting 10 frames to seven victory against the accomplished Pankaj Advani in the final of the Rs 32 lakh prize money NSCI Baulkline 4.0 all India snooker tournament at the NSCI on Sunday.

Chadha who has a near-53 percent win record in professional snooker, and Advani went neck-and-neck almost right through the nine-hour match (with intervals). However, towards the closing stages of the encounter, Chadha did well and eventually prevailed to collect a cool R.5 lakh in prize money.

Advani received Rs 2.5 lakh for his effort.

Advani enjoyed a superior potting success when leading 4-3, but Chadha intensified his potting skills and consistency thereafter and at the conclusion of the close encounter match, Chadha held a 238-237 balls-potted score.
