Men’s winners Champions Training Centre with their trophy
Champions Training Centre (CTC) and Central Railway emerged the men's and women's champions respectively via thrilling tie-breakers at the 44th Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana (WCG) rink hockey tournament at Santacruz.
CTC beat Mumbai Customs 6-5 while CR got the better of SAI Blue 8-7. In the men's final, Ravi Bharadiya netted the opener for CTC before Moses Pullathara scored the equaliser to take the match into the shootout. In the tie-breaker, Krunal and Ajay Naidu scored twiice each while Ravi and Akhay netted one apiece. For, Customs, Pullathara scored twice in the shootout while Jayesh Jadhav and Dharambir scored a goal each.

In the women's summit clash, Preeti Dubey gave CR the lead before SAI's Bhavani netted the equaliser to take the match into the tie-breaker. In the shootout, Dubey scored thrice, while Yogita Bora and K Feli netted two goals each. For SAI, Dechamma PC scored thrice, while Bhavani netted two goals and Manashir
added one.
